Okay, so we know that Ponies and Zebras use guns, we know they are usually held in their mouths and that they share ammunition types similar to own.

What I can't envision is how rifles and full length shotguns are actually used outside of Battle Saddles and the like.

I picture thinking of shotguns having a side grip instead of a stock. Or, maybe a top-grip like Otherunicorn's mk1 style.

Check out the "weapon" keyword on this site, and Otherunicorn's Gauss Gun Mk1, (another one) in particular. JustMoth's battle saddle design is exactly how I picture them when reading (and the design sheet is pure awesome!).

I think that shotguns could be used with a battle saddle, you would just have to position the tip of the barrel at least even with the chest or use slug rounds.

Also as far as rifles specifically sniper rifles I think they could be used somewhat like we use them. You would just need to have a bipod to prop up the barrel, remove the trigger guard, make the trigger larger to accompany a hoof, and position the scope more to the rear and side of the rifle. I know I'm currently designing a Zebra ARM using these concepts.

If somepony knows where I can find a decent picture of a pony/zebra lying down with their head down and their legs extended then I can get the positioning of the scope correct.

hmmm, i don't know, their interesting but i just think of modifications that would be more 'balanced' or in comfortable places, these ones are nice but what about most forms of recoil contact?
